Trust or trust?

Postby tabbycat » Tue Nov 28, 2017 4:27 pm

The clock continues to tick down towards my leaving Napo in a few weeks' time.

So, let me ask whether anyone knows the answer to the following question which has troubled me for some time:

We read of the National Trust, the Erewhon Probation Trust etc etc (capital T used) but "the trust" (small "t"). Why is this? Surely it's a Proper Noun requiring a capital "T" whereas "trust" (small "t") is a verb?

Is there some solid thinking behind this? Or is it just another symptomatic sign of gaumless mediocrity at the top - too much managerialism and no real leadership?
